World of the Ancients

While the Silver Legion is attuned to the will of the Ancients, its members, like most other tribes, have adopted its own set of rituals.

On the day of adulthood, every Aratti, member part of this tribe must capture a kagu.

The Kagu feather represents the ability of the young Arattian to join the Silver Legion. While the small, flightless bird may seem like easy prey, Aratti have been known to chase the Kagu for months, even years, before they return home to join the Shining Legion.

Amongst all the creatures and fauna affected by the silver trees, the Kagu shows it the most. When standing completely still, a Kagu is nearly invisible. The silver feathers reflect light that bounces off of trees and foliage, rendering capture nigh impossible. Once an Aratti returns to the Silvervale with a Kagu, it can join the Silver Legion in whatever capacity it has trained. For those unlucky enough to give up or return home empty handed, menial labor is the only other choice.
